A Shot in The Dark

A Shot in the Dark is a hypertext narrative that tells the story of a character named Keith, who desperately attempts to escape the cycle of poverty. One path can take the player following Keith in the gang route, where must prove himself worthy by committing crimes to be able to provide for his family. The other path take Keith to a life away from gangs, trying to make escape poverty through hard work. The story strives to explain the difficulties of living in poverty, and to explain why a person may join a gang. The reader must balance the question of whether or not these people are personally responsible for their actions, or if systemic issues affect and limit choices.
